Parish Social Ministry is the Church taking the message of the Gospel and putting it into action.
“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.” Matthew 25
If You Are in Need
A person in need may call the parish to request support, may speak to a priest at any time or may come to the Parish Social Ministry Center to meet in person. The Director helps connect this person to others who can offer assistance or help serve their needs. Your personal situation will be respected with the greatest confidence.
Father John Gilmartin, our pastor, can be reached at (631) 757-8184 or email@example.com.
Maria Ryan, our Director of Parish Social Ministry, can be reached at (631) 754-9045

The life of our Parish Community at OLQM is built upon our faith. Faith in Jesus. Faith in the Gospels. Faith in One Another.
Believing in Jesus and the Gospels as we do, our theme in 2012 - 2013 is the meaning of faith and the sharing of that faith with our children.
Matthew's Gospel gives us a hint of the importance of our faith. He says, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Please contact the Children's Faith Formation Office for more information and registration forms.

Our Parish Youth Ministry provides teens with opportunities to actively participate in the Church and develop their faith. The key to a successful Youth Ministry program is the development of an active and close-knit community where Catholic teens are eager and willing participants.

A cry from deep within our being, music is a way for God to lead us to the realm of higher things. As St. Augustine says, “Singing is for the one who loves.” Music is therefore a sign of God’s love for us and of our love for him. In this sense, it is very personal. But unless music sounds, it is not music, and whenever it sounds, it is accessible to others. By its very nature song has both an individual and a communal dimension. Thus, it is no wonder that singing together in church expresses so well the sacramental presence of God to his people.

Lay Ministries in the Church have witnessed tremendous growth following the liturgical renewal of the Second Vatican Council. What was once a new and innovative paradigm shift in the way the Church thinks about and does ministry has now become accepted and commonplace in parish church communities on Long Island and around the world.
